Torn clothing is innovative, eco-friendly, anywhere clothing designed for the independent-minded woman. Each article is created with quality and styling that is designed to last longer than trend driven fashions.

Natural fabrics are used, such as organic cotton, hemp and soy, as well as reclaimed materials, to create clothing that is lower impact, comfortable and unique. In addition to style, every design strives towards quality, sustainability and comfort.

Squamish based designer Cindy Neilson is the woman behind torn clothing. A graduate of Kwantlen University College's Fashion Design & Technology program in 2003, Cindy has designed and created costumes for countless local theatre productions, and worked for several years at Vancouver's Blushing Designs. She founded Torn Clothing in 2005, but still takes time each spring to work as a tree-planter in the interior of British Columbia

Cindy's passion for the environment and the outdoors influences her work in the design studio. When not in front of her cutting table or sewing machine, Cindy is sure to be skiing, paddling, hiking or climbing.
